Moreau Half - Gansevoort, NY
The Moreau Half is a trail half marathon held at Moreau Lake State Park near Gansevoort, NY. The course is described as a roughly 14 miles route with about 2700 feet of elevation gain. It follows winding, technical singletrack and is fully marked.
There is one aid station at Bonita Lake, located about six miles into the race. The start and finish are at the Moreau Lake State Park beach. There is no fee to enter the park and parking is available near the beach.
Organizers note the course is not for beginners; many runners should expect to take about twice their road half marathon time on this terrain.
