Moosup Valley 5K, 8K and 10K All Trail Race
The event takes place on September 27, 2026 on the newly restored Moosup Valley State Park Trail in Sterling, Connecticut. All races start and finish at Weidele's Pizza and Pub, 50 Main Street, where parking is available next to the restaurant.
Distances offered
- 5K includes food and beer and crosses two back roads toward Rhode Island
- 8K includes food and beer and crosses two back roads toward Rhode Island
- 10K includes food and beer and crosses one road toward Moosup
- Kids Fun Run includes lemonade and cookies and has no registration fee
All races run entirely on state park trail sections. There are five water stations along the courses. After the races runners receive a choice of medallion or a quality tee shirt. Shirt sizes are available for those who register by September 15. Food and beverages are provided at Weidele's Pizza and winners are announced on the restaurant lawn and picnic tables.
Proceeds support The Rotary Club of Plainfield, CT Foundation, which focuses on food insecurity and women's health products for underserved members of the local community. Leashed, well behaved dogs are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
