Gingerbread Dash - Canterbury
The Gingerbread Dash is a holiday 5K held in November in Canterbury, Connecticut, that supports the Canterbury PTO. The event starts and finishes at Canterbury Town Hall, located at 1 Municipal Dr., Canterbury, CT 06331. Organizers note that parking at the venue is limited and they encourage carpooling.
Participants receive holiday-themed race items and amenities. Runners who register by November 5th will receive festive gingerbread man socks. Other event features include a custom holiday-themed race number, professional chip timing, large division awards, on-course and start/finish line music, post-race snacks, and a sweet treat for all finishers. Bib pickup and race day registration are handled at Canterbury Town Hall. The event includes a "Race the elf" element in which participants who beat Jingles Tinsel Toes to the finish receive a certificate autographed by Jingles Tinsel Toes.
