Moose on the Run 2026
The 24th Annual Moose on the Run takes place in Greenville, Maine. Now hosted by the Moosehead Marathon team, this event features multiple distances held during the fall foliage season. The race operations are based at the Greenville Consolidated School, which serves as the central hub for the start and finish lines.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 10 km: Runners complete two laps of the race course.
- 5 km: A single-lap course for both runners and walkers.
- Kids Fun Run: A short distance of one or two laps around the school track.
The course leads participants through Greenville Junction, following a route along Moosehead Lake. Both runners and walkers are permitted to participate in the 5 km and 10 km events. The Kids Fun Run is held separately on the outdoor track, with proceeds benefiting the Greenville Recreation Department. Participants in the youth event receive a medal upon completion.
Registration for the main races is available online, with in-person registration also offered on the morning of the event. Bib and swag collection is restricted to the day of the race at the school location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
