Race details
The event benefits Moorpark High School’s cross country and track programs. The 5k is a chip timed road race that starts at the high school and finishes in the Moorpark High School stadium. The 1 mile "Catch the Groundhog" fun run is held on the track and is open to children age 11 and under.
All participants age 11 and under who complete the 5k receive a finisher medal. All fun run participants receive finisher medals. Registration fees include a t-shirt; shirts are only guaranteed for registrations completed by Sunday, January 25, 2026. Post-race activities include an awards ceremony with age group medals, refreshments, vendors, and a raffle of prizes donated by local businesses.
