Moonlight Beach Run
The Moonlight Beach Run is the eighth edition of an early evening road and beach running event held at the Daytona Beach Bandshell in Daytona Beach, Florida on January 9, 2027. Courses are run out and back on hard-packed sand along Daytona Beach.
Distances offered:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
Participants who complete both the 10K and the 5K and who register specifically for the 15K Bandshell Challenge receive a third bonus medal. All participants receive a long sleeve technical T-shirt and finishers in each event receive a finisher medal.
The event uses an accurately measured and well-marked course with chip timing. Awards are presented for the top three overall, top masters, and the top three in each five year age division for both male and female participants. A youth and senior discount of $5 is applied automatically for youths 17 and under and seniors 70 and over.
Packet pick-up takes place at the Daytona Beach Bandshell and online registration remains open up to the event; in-person late registration during packet pick-up is not available. Course maps are posted on Plotaroute.com and RidewithGPS.com. Volunteer opportunities are available for staffing water stations and other race support roles with positions that fit varying schedules.
