Moon in June Road Race : Burlington (June 6, 2026)
The 37th annual Moon in June Road Race is a volunteer-run charity event in downtown Burlington, Ontario. All event proceeds go to the Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton to support programs for children, youth and families involved in the child welfare system. The event is based at Burlington Town Square, 426 Brant Street, and has donated over one million dollars to local charities over its history.
Races, course and participant information
The event program includes multiple distances and family activities:
- 1 km Movati Meredith's Hero kids run (ages 1–12, adults may accompany younger children)
- "Gordon's Grand K" family 1 km walk/run
- 5 km certified one-loop run or walk
- 10 km certified two-loop run
The course is described as flat and certified, highlighting the Burlington waterfront and downtown core, with start and finish at the blue clock in front of City Hall. Pre-race bib pick-up and late registration are available the day before at Movati Athletic (2036 Appleby Line) and on race day at Burlington City Hall. Children’s activities include a Kidsfest with medals, freezies, pizza and a drink for finishers. Post-race offerings include food, soft drinks, a live band, awards and a beer garden; the first beer is included in the entry fee. Group discounts apply for teams of six or more. Entry change options include refunds, deferral, transfer or donation depending on timing; no options are available within 14 days of the event.
