Summer Shores takes place on September 7, 2026 at Hutches on the Beach near Barrangas in Hamilton, Ontario. The event offers multiple distances in both in person and virtual formats.

The in person route follows the Hamilton waterfront trail and passes views of Lake Ontario. The in person 1 km supports Inclusion West Niagara and registration includes a $20 donation to Community Living Grimsby plus a finisher medal. Virtual options are available for the 5 km and 8 km, with tracking and result submission via the ASICS Runkeeper app and a virtual finisher certificate for posted results.
Race kits and bibs can be picked up in advance at the Stoney Creek Running Room or on site the event day. Participants select a race kit item between a phone lanyard or a race t shirt. Strollers are permitted with a request that stroller runners start at the back of the field; dogs are not permitted.
A $10 age discount applies to youths 16 and under and seniors 65 and over. If the in person race is cancelled for extreme conditions, entrants will be moved to the virtual race and no refund for the in person portion will be issued.
