Summer Shores presents three distances with start and finish at Hutches on the Beach near Barrangas in Hamilton, Ontario, on September 7, 2026. The route runs along the Hamilton waterfront trail with views of Lake Ontario.

The 1 km event supports Inclusion West Niagara; registration includes a requested donation to Community Living Grimsby and a finisher medal. The 5 km and 8 km are available both in person and virtually. Virtual participants can track activity with the ASICS Runkeeper app or submit results online; entrants who post results receive a virtual finisher certificate.
Race kits and bibs must be picked up before lining up; pickup locations include the Stoney Creek Running Room store and race-day pickup at the event site. Participants choose a race kit item: a phone lanyard or a race T-shirt. A $10 age discount applies for youths (16 and under) and seniors (65 and over).
Strollers are permitted when starting from the back of the corral; dogs are not allowed. The event proceeds rain or shine and will only be cancelled for extreme conditions; if the in-person event is cancelled, registrants will be moved to the virtual event and no refunds will be issued.
