Montlake Turkey Trot
The Montlake Turkey Trot is the 11th annual community race owned by the University District Food Bank and held at E Lynn Street and 25th Avenue East in Seattle within the Washington Park Arboretum. The event serves as the Food Bank's second largest annual fundraiser; funds beyond operating costs support local food assistance programs. Current fundraising progress shows $434.05 raised toward a $25,000 goal.

- Untimed 5K or 1 Mile Walk
The course runs through the Arboretum on the traditional lands of the Coast Salish peoples and passes beneath mature trees with views of ponds, creeks, and open fields. Trails can be muddy and have damp plant debris; strollers are allowed but organizers ask stroller users to start at the back of the race corral and to use equipment suited to varied path surfaces. Dogs are not permitted at the event due to insurance and safety requirements.
The University District Food Bank reports that in 2025 it served more than 123,000 households and 368,000 individuals and distributed 3.9 million pounds of food. Programs include home delivery to over 550 households weekly, Packs for Kids serving more than 820 students weekly across 16 schools, satellite pantries serving 430 plus households weekly, and an Apple a Day Café providing over 1,000 meals weekly.
