Event overview
The Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series (October) is scheduled for October 25, 2025, at Sky Country Trailhead in Bellevue, Washington, within King County’s Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park. The series is organized by Seattle Running Club and Northwest Trail Runs. Distances offered on the October date include:

- 19.5 Miles
- 7.6 Miles (Cross Country)
- 5K
A portion of each entry fee is donated to King County Parks.
Course, entries and rules
Courses run on single-track and wider trails through forest, ferns, marshes and wetland habitats with rolling hills, several moderate climbs, and some short steep inclines. Approximate elevation gain estimates are: 5K - 350 ft, 7.6 mi - 1,150 ft, 19.5 mi - 3,700 ft, 50K - 7,200 ft. These estimates are approximate and based on contour mapping.
The 7.6-mile race includes the Cougar Cup team competition; teams pay a separate team fee, must register team members on race morning, and follow mixed-team scoring rules with required female scorers. The October event includes a costume contest with awards for best individual and group costumes. Awards are given to the top three Men, Women, and Nonbinary finishers in each event.
