Carkeek 12-Hour
The Carkeek 12-Hour is an annual trail event and fundraiser organized by Endless Trails at Carkeek Park in Seattle, Washington. The 2026 in-person event is scheduled for October 24; a virtual option runs October 1 through October 31. The 2026 edition marks the event's twentieth year.

The course is a looped trail with varied terrain, including rolling singletrack, steep stairs, and a short flatter section. Each loop records 436 feet of elevation gain. The route offers views of Puget Sound. The event maintains a small field to limit its footprint and typically caps entries at 50 runners.
Race services reflect a low-impact, old-school approach: handmade bibs, lap counting with star stickers, no paper products, and aid and raffle items sourced largely from local Seattle-area businesses. Registration fees and donations support Endless Trails, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; proceeds after permit and aid costs are used for trail work and operating expenses and are often returned to Carkeek trails. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Costumes are encouraged and eligible for prizes, with awards for individual, group, and pet costumes. A run club competition for 2026 allows clubs to tally member miles toward a series trophy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
