Event Overview
The Montgomery County Interfaith 5K is an inclusive community event held in Boyds, Maryland. It is organized by a partnership of local faith-based organizations, including Shaare Torah Jewish Community, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, The Interfaith Families Project of Greater Washington, Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The 2026 edition marks the tenth annual race. The goal is to bring together people from diverse backgrounds for a shared activity focused on health and community. The event is inclusive and respects all backgrounds, with no religious services or proselytizing as part of the public program.
Event Details
The event features several activities:
- Montgomery County Interfaith 5K (5 km)
- Tot Trot for ages 2-5
- Kids Fun Run for ages 6-12
- A virtual option for the 5K
Proceeds from the 2026 event will be donated to local community organizations Gaithersburg Help and C-4. Teams with 12 or more registrants by August 24 can reserve a table in the race festival area. Participants must register by August 9 to be guaranteed an event shirt.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is available on the day before the race at RnJ Sports in Rockville, Maryland. On race day, packet pickup is at the Dairy Mooseum at the Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds.
Awards
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are also presented for top male and female finishers in categories from 14 and under to 80 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
