The Montclair Run features a flat and fast USATF certified 10K Grand Prix and a family friendly 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk. All participants get a T shirt and finisher medal, and the event supports community health programs. It's a chip timed race held rain or shine.

Events

The Montclair Run offers two events.

10K Grand Prix Run: A USATF-certified course.
2-Mile Fun Run/Walk: A family-friendly event.

Course and Timing

The course is described as fast and flat. Both races are chip-timed. The 2-Mile event permits strollers, while strollers and pets are not allowed on the 10K course due to USATF sanctioning.

Registration and Packet Pickup

Registration opens on March 2, 2026. Same-day registration is available. Packet pickup is scheduled at the YMCA of Montclair on 25 Park Street on the Friday and Saturday before the race, with a limited window available on race morning.

Participant Perks and Awards

All participants receive a performance race T-shirt and a finisher medal, while supplies last. Free race photography is provided. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall in both events. The 10K race also awards the top three finishers in each age category.

Additional Information

The event is held to benefit the YMCA of Montclair’s Community Health Program Fund. It takes place rain or shine. Parking is described as limited, and carpooling or walking is suggested.
