Montchanin Trails 5K : Wilmington, DE
The Montchanin Trails 5K takes place on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 2900 Montchanin Road in Wilmington, Delaware. The event is a trail run and walk held on the Longwood at Granogue property. The course includes single track trails with rocks and roots, open fields, gravel roads and some hills. The published course map is subject to change based on trail conditions.
Parking is in fields and participants are asked to carpool if possible. The field for the race is limited to 300 runners. Post race beer and snacks are provided and a race shirt is offered to those who register by March 20, 2026 to guarantee a shirt.
Awards are given for overall male and female and overall masters male and female, plus the top three in each age group. Age groups are 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69 and 70 and over.
Longwood at Granogue is private property with specific rules. Participants must follow access restrictions, avoid entering buildings or the pond, respect the designated privacy zone near the house and follow signage. Photography and public GPS or social media tracking of the course are restricted; devices should have location services turned off when on the property. Dogs are not permitted on the race course but may be on the property if leashed and cleaned up after. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
