Montana Meltdown
Montana Meltdown is a fixed-time running event held at Gallatin Valley Regional Park in Bozeman, Montana. Runners complete laps on a 1.5-mile loop and accumulate distance over set time periods on a measured course.
Event options include:
- 24-hour timed event
- 12-hour timed event
- 4-hour timed event
There is a single aid station located on the course that participants pass every 1.5 miles. The aid station offers a variety of typical ultra food and includes vegan and gluten-free options as needed. Crew support is permitted every lap, and there is a designated area adjacent to the course for camping and crew setup.
Parking at the park is described as extremely limited; participants are asked to consider carpooling or ridesharing, and the Oak Street lot is noted as an alternate parking area. Packet pickup is available at the Start/Finish area on race day; participants must obtain their timing chip prior to their race start.
In the timed format used here, events do not record DNFs; awards are given to the top three overall finishers in each event, and all participants receive finisher swag. Online registration closes September 23 at 11:59 PM MT. The race guide and additional event details are available from the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
