Montana Meltdown Fixed Time Event
Montana Meltdown is a set of timed running events held at Gallatin Valley Regional Park in Bozeman, Montana. Runners circulate a 1.5-mile loop and accumulate distance over fixed time periods rather than a fixed distance.
Event options include:
- 24 hour event measuring miles completed on the loop.
- 12 hour event measuring miles completed on the loop.
- 4 hour event measuring miles completed on the loop.
The course has one aid station that participants pass every 1.5 miles, offering typical ultra race food plus vegan and gluten free options. Crew support is permitted every lap, and there is a designated area adjacent to the course suitable for camping. Packet pickup is available on race day at the Start/Finish area; timing chips must be collected prior to racing. Parking is described as extremely limited, with an Oak Street lot noted as an alternative.
Online registration closes September 23 at 11:59pm MST. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers in each timed event, and all participants receive finisher swag. The event offers a pregnancy deferral or refund option for entrants who become pregnant, adopt a child, or are dealing with postpartum recovery.
