Monsters & Mimosas 5K - Diamond Lake
The event is held at Diamond Lake Resort and uses the paved roadways of the campground along the lake for the course. On-site timing uses chips at the start and finish. The event offers participant items and awards including an event shirt, a finisher award medal, and age group awards. Adults of legal drinking age receive a mimosa after the race; juice and water are provided for participants under 21.
Multiple race options are listed:
- 5K race
- Sip & Stoll entry
- Virtual race option
Registration is organized in pricing tiers with deadlines, including preview, early bird, regular, late, and race day fees. Participants registered by 09/23 are guaranteed race swag in their size; after that date swag is available while supplies last. Team entries and fundraising options are available for groups.
The charity partner for the event is UCAN. UCAN provides social, health, early education and family services in Douglas and Josephine counties and operates programs in other counties such as Klamath and Lake. UCAN also hosts AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Seniors programming and uses a “no wrong door” approach to link people with appropriate local services.
A virtual race option allows remote participation, submission of a virtual time online, and publication of results after the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
