Monster Mash Dash - Lorain
Monster Mash Dash is a community Halloween running and walking event organized by Main Street Lorain, a 501 c (3) nonprofit. The event includes multiple distances and activities for adults, children, and dogs, and proceeds benefit downtown Lorain initiatives.
The event features:
- 5K Run (chip timed)
- 1 Mile Walk (dog friendly)
- 100 Yard Dash for kids 12 and younger
Costumes are encouraged for all participants. New in 2026, all participants receive a finisher medal and a t shirt. Costume contest categories include best adult individual costume, best adult group costume, best child costume, and best dressed dog.
Registration pricing and deadlines are specified for each distance. Early bird pricing for the 5K and 1 Mile was available April 3, 2026 through August 2, 2026. Standard and late registration dates and fees apply through race day, and mailed entries must be received by Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2026 at United Way of Greater Lorain County, 642 Broadway, Lorain, OH 44052. Day of registration location and the starting address are to be announced. Awards will recognize top overall finishers, age group placings, and costume winners.
