Monster Mash Dash - Lorain
Monster Mash Dash is a community running and walking event in downtown Lorain on October 3, 2026, staged from the area of Scorcher's at 642 Broadway, Lorain, OH 44052. The event benefits Main Street Lorain, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes collaboration and celebration to support a vibrant and accessible downtown for residents and visitors of all ages.
The event program includes these distances:
- 5K Run (chip timed)
- 1 Mile Walk (dog friendly)
- 100 Yard Dash for children 12 years old and younger
Costumes are encouraged for participants of all ages, and dogs may join the walk or run. There are costume contest categories including best adult individual costume, best adult group costume, best child costume, and best dressed dog. Awards include top overall finishers, age group awards, and costume prizes. New for 2026, all participants receive a finisher medal and a t-shirt.
Packet pickup is available the day before at United Way of Greater Lorain County at 642 Broadway, with day of registration and packet pickup locations to be announced. The 5K is chip timed and the event includes a short kids dash. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
