Monster Mash Dash
Monster Mash Dash is a community running and walking event in downtown Lorain that benefits Main Street Lorain, a 501 c (3) nonprofit focused on promoting collaboration and celebration to make downtown Lorain vibrant and accessible to residents and visitors of all ages. The event takes place in Lorain, Ohio, at Scorcher's, 642 Broadway.
Distances offered include:
- 5K Run (chip timed)
- 1 Mile Walk (dog friendly)
- 100 Yard Dash for kids 12 years old and younger
Costumes are encouraged for adults, children, and dogs. The event includes a costume contest with categories for best adult individual, best adult group, best child, and best dressed dog. Dogs may participate in the walk or run and are eligible for the dog costume award.
New for 2026, all participants receive a finisher medal and a t-shirt, available for both adults and kids. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 2 at United Way of Greater Lorain County, 642 Broadway, Lorain; day of registration details and some locations are to be announced.
