Monster Mash Bash Run For a Cure
The Monster Mash Bash Run For a Cure is scheduled for October 31, 2026 in Burnet, Texas at 4319N US HWY 281. The event is a 30 hour endurance challenge built around a simple format: complete 1 mile every hour for a total of 30 miles. The course is a closed out-and-back approximately 1/2 mile out and 1/2 mile back, using both trail and road surfaces. The event proceeds through daylight and nighttime hours.
Runners may join at any later scheduled hourly start, but once a runner begins they must start and complete one full mile during each consecutive hourly round. Missing an official start or failing to complete the mile before the next start ends that runner's event. There are no skipped hours, make-up miles, late starts after entering, or re-entry after elimination.
Event logistics include a designated parking and runner/crew setup area where tents and small pop-up canopies are permitted within marked spaces. The event provides water, ice, and portable restrooms. Crew may assist runners between miles with food, hydration, clothing, and gear. Trail Toes will offer complimentary basic foot-care supplies. Registered runners receive a participant patch, tumbler, and stickers; reflective distance plates are awarded for the greatest recognized mileage milestone actually completed.
Participants are responsible for lighting during nighttime rounds, personal supplies, and preparation for changing Texas weather. Race officials have final authority over safety, course interpretation, and official results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
