Monster Dash - Ravenna
The Monster Dash is a family-oriented sports event held at University Hospital - Portage County in Ravenna, Ohio. This event encourages participants to wear costumes while taking part in various running and walking activities on a measured course. The competition is officially timed, and awards are presented to top performers in overall and age group categories.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 800 m Kid's Run (for ages 12 and under)
Registered participants receive several amenities, including a finisher medal for all runners and walkers. Those who complete their registration by early October are also guaranteed an event T-shirt. After the event, food is provided for participants.
Packet pick-up is available both on the morning of the event and during an early session held on the Friday afternoon prior at the UH Portage Main Lobby. The 5 km course map is documented through external GPS routing services. The event serves as a community gathering at the hospital grounds, focusing on seasonal themes and physical activity.
