Monster Dash 5K
The Monster Dash 5K is a Halloween themed running event held at Swangard Stadium, Boundary Road, Burnaby, BC. The event features a chip timed 5 km race and a 400 m Mini Monster Dash for children.
The registration package includes a custom swag bag for registered participants, a goodie bag and finisher medal for every Mini Monster Dash participant, a chip timed race bib for 5 km participants, and post race refreshments. There is no race day registration.

Age and eligibility rules set the minimum age for the 5K at 11 years. Participants aged 11 to 13 must be accompanied on course by a registered adult. Participants aged 14 to 17 may take part without an accompanying adult, but a parent or legal guardian must sign the event waiver for anyone under 18. The Mini Monster Dash is intended only for children aged 10 and under.
The terrain includes paved pathways, grass, and loose gravel with slight inclines, declines, and uneven surfaces. Pets are not permitted inside the stadium where the start, finish, and post race activities take place; pets are allowed on the Central Park route on leash. Package pickup is available at Fit First Foot Wear, Christine Sinclair Community Centre, on Friday, October 30, 2026 between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM. There are no refunds or transfers.
