Monster Dash 5K
The Monster Dash 5K is a family friendly road event that includes a 5K race and a separate kids fun run for participants ages 10 and under. The event features a costume contest and costume awards in addition to competitive age group awards.
Participants in the 5K receive IPICO chip timing and a finisher's medal. The event provides an aid station on the course, large mile markers, and post race food and beverages. 5K entrants may add a race shirt for an additional fee. All Lil' Monsters Kids Run participants receive a shirt and a Lil' Monster medal.
Registration fees are non refundable. The 5K has tiered entry prices through the registration period and an option for a virtual 5K that includes shipping, a shirt, and a medal. The kids run has a separate entry fee schedule.
Packet pickup is scheduled for the Friday before the race at The Running Well Store, 200 E 135th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, with leftover packets available on race morning at the race site.
Awards include Top Overall male and female, Top Masters male and female (40+), and first through third place in standard age groups from 10 & under through 80 and over. The event partners with Newhouse, an organization that provides shelter, therapy, children's services, legal advocacy, and community education for survivors of domestic violence.
