Monster Dash 5K
The Monster Dash 5K takes place on October 31, 2026 at South Creek Office Park in Overland Park, Kansas. The event includes a community 5K and a kids fun run for children ages 10 and under.
Participants in the 5K receive IPICO chip timing, a finisher's medal, large mile markers, an aid station on course, and post race food and beverages. Awards are given to the top overall male and female and top masters male and female (40 and older). Age group awards are presented for first through third place across standard age divisions from 10 and under through 80 and older. All Lil' Monsters Kids Run participants receive a shirt and a Lil' Monster medal. 5K runners may add a race shirt for an additional eight dollars.
The event offers a virtual 5K option that includes shipping plus a shirt and medal. Registration fees are non refundable. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at KC Running Company with leftover race packets available at the race site on race morning.
The Monster Dash 5K partners with Newhouse. Newhouse provides shelter, therapy, children's services, community education, legal advocacy, and a 24 hour hotline to support people affected by domestic violence. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
