Monmouth County's Stars & Strides Flag Day 5K & 1-Mile Freedom Walk
This community event takes place on June 14, 2026, at Bell Works, 101 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel, New Jersey. The program includes both a 5K run and a 1 Mile Freedom Walk.

Advance registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes May 14, 2026; day of event registration will also be accepted on the event date. Early bib pick-up is scheduled for June 13, 2026. The 1 Mile Freedom Walk is not a timed event.
The 5K includes awards for top finishers: top three male and female overall and top three male and female in each age group. Age groups are 18 and under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 plus. The event notes that duplicate awards will not be given.
The event has a patriotic theme tied to observances of the United States 250th anniversary. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Monmouth County Park System. The event is presented by the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners and the MonmouthNJ 250 Committee as part of Monmouth County’s official 250th anniversary observances.
