Monmouth County's Stars & Strides Flag Day 5K & 1-Mile Freedom Walk takes place on June 14, 2026 in Holmdel, NJ at 101 Crawfords Corner Road. The event includes the following distances:

Registration fees listed for both events are $30, with prices increasing after May 14, 2026. A race T-shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by May 14, 2026. On-site registration and pre-registration packet pick up are scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2026 at Bell Works, 101 Crawfords Corner Road (in front of the Holmdel Library).
Course, awards, and beneficiaries
The 5K course is USATF certified (NJ25012JLW). Awards for the 5K include top three male and female overall finishers and top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are: 18 and under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+. Duplicate awards will not be given.
The event benefits the Friends of the Monmouth County Park System. It is presented by the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners and the MonmouthNJ 250 Committee as part of Monmouth County’s official observances of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
