Monarch Fund 5k Run/Walk : Harriet Island Pavilion, Saint Paul
The Monarch Fund 5k Run/Walk takes place on August 16, 2026 at Harriet Island Pavilion along the Mississippi River with views of the downtown Saint Paul skyline. The main event is a certified 5K course (Certification Code MN18048RR) and the race is chip timed. There is one water station located near the turnaround around mile 2. Dogs and pets are not allowed on the course except for service animals.

- Kids Run for ages 12 and under, free with online registration and a participant medal
Packet pickup and race day registration are held at the pavilion location. A number of parking lots are located on Harriet Island near the pavilion, and some roads close near the event area prior to the race. Prize money is awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers with amounts of $200, $150, and $100. Five year age group awards are given three deep across listed age divisions. New for 2026, first place masters (40-49), grandmasters (50-59), and super grandmasters (60 plus) male and female receive awards. A special award recognizes the best age graded performance.
All race proceeds support the Rene and Brian McCoy Cancer Recovery Research Monarch Fund at Hamline University. Fundraising to date shows $1,075.31 raised, listed as 96 percent of goal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
