Event Overview

The MomFuel 5K & Wellness Fair is an inaugural event held at Claude Moore Park in Sterling, Virginia. Organized by The Mama Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the event focuses on celebrating maternal health and wellness. Proceeds from the race support postpartum mothers through community support groups, employment programs, and wellness resources.

Participants can choose from two main options:

MomFuel 5K & Wellness Fair
MomFuel 5K & Wellness Fair (Virtual)

The physical event is designed to be family friendly and is open to runners and walkers of all experience levels. Participants are welcome to bring children and strollers. In addition to the race, the event features a wellness fair, activities for children, and coffee for attendees.

For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option allows participants to complete a 5 km distance at any location between May 23 and May 30. Results for the virtual race can be submitted online.
