About the race
The Inaugural Momentum 2-Miler is a community 2 mile run/walk taking place in Philadelphia on November 15, 2026, at 1 Boathouse Row. The event is untimed and intended to run alongside the STEM So(ul)cial Soulstice Summit. Funds raised support the Pay It Forward Scholarship Fund, which aims to invest in the next generation of Black scientists, engineers, and innovators. Two registration options are offered: an individual entry and a team entry for five people.
Individual registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes September 30, 2026, with a listed fee of $20. Team registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes October 24, 2026, with a listed fee of $95; a free registration code will be provided for the remaining four team members. The first 25 conference attendees may participate free as noted for summit participants. Registration benefits include a commemorative race medal, a swag bag with a raffle ticket, a commemorative runner’s bib, and an official race shirt available as an add-on.
Early packet pickup is scheduled for November 14 at Billy Penn Studios, and onsite packet pickup will be available on race day for non-conference attendees. The event notes an award ceremony is planned after the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
