Trail Running Events in Kane Creek Canyon
The Moab Trail Marathon takes place in the Kane Creek Canyon area near Moab, Utah. This two-day event features a variety of trail running distances on a fully marked course. The Saturday schedule includes the marathon, a 10k, and a children's run, while half marathon options are available on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Saturday Half Marathon serves as the USATF Trail Half Marathon National Championship and the Collegiate Half Marathon National Championship. Participants in the collegiate category compete for both individual titles and a team trophy based on the combined times of the top male and female finishers from each institution.
The race venue is located at the Kane Creek recreation parking area. There is no on-site parking available on race days. All participants must use the provided shuttle service from HMK Elementary School or be dropped off at the venue. Registration includes chip timing, a t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a mug. Aid stations along the course provide water and snacks, with soup available at the post-event area. A portion of the proceeds is donated to local non-profit organizations focused on search and rescue, trail maintenance, and community support.
