Canyonlands Half Marathon and 5 Mile
The Canyonlands Half Marathon and 5 Mile takes place in Moab, Utah on March 21, 2026. The event offers two road race distances:
- 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 5 Miler
The course runs near red rock formations and alongside the winding Colorado River, with sections that parallel Arches National Park. The event began in 1976; the first race on May 1, 1976 had 22 finishers, including a dog. In recent years thousands of runners have come together in March for this road race. The event was mentioned in the July 18 issue of Runners World UK.
