Arches Ultra
Arches Ultra is a winter trail event in Moab, Utah on January 30, 2027. The event offers multiple distances and runs along trails near Arches National Park and Utahraptor State Park. The course stays at relatively low elevation and provides views of the Moab cliffs and the La Sal Mountains.
Distances include:
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- Half Marathon
- 9K
The routes use the Bar M, Klonzo, and Klondike trail systems and follow sections along the border of Arches National Park. Terrain varies from smooth singletrack to technical slickrock and includes sandy sections. The 50 Mile course lowest point is 4,331 feet and highest point is 5,135 feet, with total elevation gain 4,524 feet. The 50K course ranges from 4,331 to 4,852 feet with 2,894 feet of climb. The half marathon ranges from 4,462 to 4,780 feet with 873 feet of gain. The 9K ranges from 4,560 to 4,708 feet with 295 feet of gain.
Aid stations are cupless; water dispensers will be available at the start/finish and at each aid station for refilling bladders, bottles, or reusable cups. Packet pickup occurs before the event at the start/finish location. Finishers receive a race shirt, a technical trucker hat, and a finisher medal.
