Entry, prizes and results
The event is the 15th annual edition. All participants receive a pair of Mizuno Wave Rider shoes (ladies sizes 6-11; mens sizes 8-12) and a pair of GoodR sunglasses, with a stated retail value over $200. Age-group prizes are offered for the top three finishers in each category: U20, 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Cash prizes of $200, $100 and $50 are listed for the fastest three open runners and the fastest three women in the in-person event.
Virtual participants must record their run with a GPS tracker and submit the tracking to be eligible for age-group prizes. Runners may enter multiple 5 km times between July 9 and July 12, 2026; the fastest submitted time will be used. Registration for 2026 is capped at 800 participants. Proceeds support the Concordia Thunder cross-country and indoor track teams and other events across Alberta. Results will be posted on the event platform on Sunday evening.
