Mizuno Midsummer 5k 2026
This event is organized as a hybrid race with both a virtual option and an in person race at Gold Bar Park in Edmonton. The virtual event window runs from July 9 to July 12, 2026, and the in person event is scheduled for July 11, 2026 at Gold Bar Park.

- 5 km run or walk, virtual or in person
- 1 km kids fun run, in person only
Each 5 km entry includes a race package that contains a pair of Mizuno Wave Rider 29 running shoes (specified men's and women's sizes) and a pair of GoodR sunglasses in a choice of colors. Kids who run the 1 km in person receive a finisher medal. Packages for participants outside Edmonton can be sent to a local Running Room store.
Prizes include Mizuno awards for the top three finishers in each age group (U20, 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+) and cash prizes for the fastest three open runners and the fastest three women in the in person race. Virtual participants who want age group prizes must submit a GPS tracking link from Strava, Garmin, MapMyRun, or similar. The Gold Bar Park route will be marked with chalk and signage.
