Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford
Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford is held in Rockford, Michigan on August 22, 2026. The event includes a 5K race, a Kids K fun run for children, and a virtual 5K option with mailed race packets. Packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, August 21 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm and Saturday, August 22 from 7:00 am to 8:00 am.
The 5K course begins on the Bridge Street Bridge over the Rogue River at the Rockford Dam and finishes on N. Squire Street. The route runs through historic downtown Rockford and along the Rogue River and the White Pine Trail. Mile splits and finish times are provided.

The event was organized to benefit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy PPMD. The organizer notes that many boys and some girls from West Michigan have been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and race proceeds are donated to PPMD to support efforts to end Duchenne.
Registered participants receive event items. Each registered 5K entrant receives a race tee, race bib, finisher medal, and race refreshments. Kids K entrants receive a race tee, race bib, finisher medal, and a treat. Virtual 5K entrants are mailed a race tee, bib, and medal.
