Mister Softee 5k, 10k and 1 mile Ice Cream Races
The event takes place at eTown's Recharge Amenity Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Organizers include eTown, Mister Softee, and Florida Race Day. This is the fifth annual Mister Softee Ice Cream race in the eTown neighborhood near 9B and I-95.
Distances offered:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 1 mile fun run (1 mile)
The 10k course consists of two laps of the 5k course and a split time is provided. Packet pickup is located at the race start on race morning and is available between 6:45 am and 7:30 am.
All participants receive chip timing for their chosen distance, a race shirt, a finisher medal, a Mister Softee soft serve cone with sprinkles, a racing bib, a downloadable finisher photo, and access to live results. Awards for the 5k and 10k are based on finisher times and are given by gender and by the following age groups: 10 and under; 11-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70 and older.
There is an option to form a Mister Softee Team consisting of four or more members; the fastest four team members receive an average time and the fastest team wins. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
