Missoula Marathon
The Missoula Marathon Weekend of Events is an annual multi-race weekend in Missoula, Montana, organized by Run Wild Missoula and presented by Young Automotive Group. The 2027 weekend is scheduled for June 25 to June 27, 2027. The event attracts participants from all 50 states and more than a dozen countries and is run by a nonprofit organization.
The weekend includes a full marathon, a half marathon, the Tony Banovich 5K, a 5K Workplace Wellness Challenge, a relaxed 3-mile Beer Run on Friday night, a Missoula Kids Marathon for children ages 13 and under that is non-competitive and non-timed, the Big 3 Challenge, expo packet pickup, and other weekend activities. The full marathon course is flat, fast, USATF certified, and a Boston Qualifier. The half marathon course is also flat, fast, and USATF certified. The Tony Banovich 5K registration includes a casual race shirt, a finishers medal, and chip timing.
Runners and visitors experience downtown Missoula, local restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, galleries, and live music, plus riverfront trails and nearby hiking, floating, and fishing. The event notes strong volunteer support and has received national recognition, including awards from Runner’s World readers and the BibRave 100.
