19th Annual Missions 5K Run Walk for Alzheimer's
The 19th Annual 5K Run and Walk for Alzheimer's is presented by HEB and sponsored by St. James Missionary Baptist Church. The event takes place in Austin, Texas at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 3417 East Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard.
One hundred percent of proceeds benefit Alzheimer's. The event notes cumulative support of over $89,000 since 2009. Participants receive customized Dri-Fit shirts, customized finisher medals, and customized bibs. All participants are chip timed and the course is USA Track and Field certified.
Awards are given to individual runners for male and female categories and to age division placements for male and female participants up to 70 and above. Additional awards include Elite Runner for fastest time, Elite Male, Elite Female, and Masters categories for both sexes.
