Course and purpose

The 5K is chip timed. The course is described as flat and closed to vehicular traffic. The event was originally produced from 2011 until 2018 and was hosted in downtown Winston-Salem; it is now held in the Clemmons community. A portion of the event proceeds benefit Good Works Engine (formerly Mission: Feet First), a 501(c)(3) shoe charity that provides properly fitted running shoes to people in the local community and partners with other local charities to distribute shoes annually.
