Minuteman BQ Marathon
The Minuteman BQ Marathon is a 26.2 mile road marathon held on the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway in Massachusetts on Sunday, September 5, 2027. The course uses a dedicated paved trail beneath a continuous canopy of mature trees, providing shade and protection from wind for the full distance.
The route is run as seven loops on a flat, controlled course with no road crossings. The elevation gain is approximately 784 ft over 26.2 miles (GPS measured). The course is USATF certified, certificate number MA26011JK.
Race operations include professional chip timing with security checkpoints at Bow St (east) and Woburn St (west) to verify all loops. Runners can stock personal drinks and nutrition at elite fuel stations; water is provided at designated stations. Portable toilets and gear check are available at the start/finish area. Designated spectator zones allow friends and family to see runners on each loop. Finishers receive a custom running singlet and a finisher medal. Post-race snacks, refreshments, and celebrations take place at Hill's Hill.
Runners are seeded by goal finish time and start in staggered waves. Pace group goal times range from 2:50 or under up to 3:46 or more, with groups adjusted based on registration volume. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
