Minuteman BQ Marathon : event overview
The Minuteman BQ Marathon is a 26.2 miles road race held on the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway in Arlington, Massachusetts on Sunday, September 5, 2027. The course uses a paved, dedicated trail that runs beneath a continuous canopy of mature trees. The route has a flat profile with no road crossings and is described as shaded and wind-protected for the entire distance.
The race is run as seven loops, which places designated spectator zones so crew can see runners on each pass. The course is USATF certified (Certificate #MA26011JK). Professional chip timing is used, and security checkpoints at Bow St (east) and Woburn St (west) verify that runners complete all loops. Chip time is accepted as the official Boston Marathon qualifying time.
On-course services include elite fuel stations that can hold personal drinks and nutrition, general water stations, portable toilets, and gear check at the start/finish area. Registered participants receive a custom running singlet and a finisher medal, and post-race snacks and refreshments are provided at Hill's Hill.
