Mint Springs Trail 5K++
The 12th annual Mint Springs Trail 5K++ takes place at Mint Springs Valley Park in Crozet, Virginia on May 9, 2026. The course measures about 3.9 miles and includes approximately 860 ft of elevation gain and loss. The route climbs Bucks Elbow Mountain, follows single track trails with valley views, and passes around ponds before finishing by the playground above the lakes.
All finishers receive a T shirt. Awards are given to the top three finishers overall and to the top three in each of the listed age groups, for both male and female categories: Kids 12-U, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+ . Dogs are not permitted.
The event serves as the first race in the 11th annual Charlottesville Summer Trail Running Series. Series registration is available for the four-race series and includes registration and shirts for the listed races, a technical fabric finishers shirt at the end of the series for those who meet the finish requirement, awards and a post-series barbecue. The other 2026 series dates and locations are listed as O Hilly Trail 5K at UVA Grounds, Boars Head Turn and Burn at Boars Head Resort, and Late Summer Meltdown 4-Miler.
