Event overview
The Minster Challenge takes place in Axminster on 29 March 2026. The event is organised by Ruby Red Running in association with Axe Valley Academy. Medals will be awarded to all finishers and prizes will be given to winners. Homemade refreshments will be available, provided by Axe Valley Academy pupils, parents and teachers. Entries close on 26 March 2026.
Routes, age limits and entry fees

- 12 km
- 5 km
- 3 km
The course is on trails and fields and is described as hilly and muddy. Route maps and GPX files are available. Age requirements follow England Athletics and Trail Running Association guidance: the 12 km is for those aged 17 or over, the 5 km for those aged 12 or over, and the 3 km is open to any age and may be accompanied by an adult. Entry fees:
- Minster 12k: affiliated £12, non-affiliated £14
- Minster 5k: affiliated £5, non-affiliated £7
- Minster 3k: affiliated £1, non-affiliated £3
The event will be licensed by the Trail Running Association (licence number to be confirmed) and held under UK Athletics rules.
Location, facilities and marshals
Race headquarters is at Axe Valley Academy, Chard Street, Axminster EX13 5EA. There is limited parking on site via the Lyme Road entrance and additional public car parks in town. LED Leisure has offered showers, changing rooms and a sports-hall area for bag drop for a donation. Volunteers and marshals receive a briefing, an information pack, numbered signs at marshal points, and a video guide for their locations.
