Minong Summer Days 5K Run/Walk
The Minong Summer Days 5K Run/Walk is a community chip timed 3.1 mile event held in Minong, Wisconsin at 714 W Hokah Street as part of the Minong Summer Days weekend. The route is a down and back course on concrete sidewalk and blacktop roads. The course is wheelchair and stroller accessible and has a water station at the halfway point.
This event includes a free kids run for children 12 years and under held immediately after the 5K. Prizes are awarded to top finishers with categories for Overall Male and Overall Female; overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Age group prize categories include 1-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Registration pricing is specified by the organizer: adults 18 and older, youth 11 to 17, and children 10 and under with a different fee structure and a same day price increase. Registration includes an event T-shirt for those who register by July 20 to guarantee size. Packet pick up and same day registration occur at Jack Link's Aquatic and Activity Center on race day. All registrations are non refundable and non transferable.
The 5K takes place during the Minong Summer Days festival, which also features youth baseball and softball, a kids glow party, adult coed softball, a bean bag tournament, classic car and bike show, parade, talent showcase, bingo, and live music.
