Event Details
The Shamrock Shuffle is an annual 5K run/walk held in downtown Hayward, Wisconsin, around St. Patrick's Day in March. The main event is accompanied by a free Grasshopper Kids 1K race. The event starts and finishes at The Lot, located at the corner of Kansas Avenue and 3rd Street.
Activities and Atmosphere
The event includes a costume contest with a green theme. There is traditional Irish music at the start. An after-party takes place at The Lot following the race, featuring music, bonfires, and food and beverages available for purchase from vendors like the Snack Shack, Earth Rider Brew, and Lynn's Custom Meats Emergency Brat Truck.
Registration and Perks
Participants can register in advance or on race day. The first 200 registrants receive a t-shirt. All participants get free bananas, water, and cookies.
