Minocqua/Woodruff Turkey Trot
The event is the 9th annual Minocqua/Woodruff Turkey Trot, a community 5K run/walk held on Thanksgiving Day that begins and ends at Faith Church, 9035 Blumenstein Road, Woodruff. The course goes through the streets of Woodruff near the road between Trigs and Walmart off Highway 70 West. The distance is 3.1 Miles (5K).
Registration opens August 2, 2026 and has a strict participant limit with registration stopping at the first 500 entrants because of limited parking. Early online registration is $35; the online price increases after Wednesday packet pickup and in-person race morning registration is $45. T shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by November 10; additional shirts may be available on race day in limited sizes.
Packet pickup and in-person registration are offered Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and Thursday from 7:00 to 8:45 AM. Participants who pick up bibs on Wednesday are automatically entered in two $50 gift card drawings. Online registration windows change around packet pickup; in-person registration is available at packet pickup.
Awards include medals for the top three overall male and female finishers and medals for the top three in each of these age groups for both sexes: 9 and under, 10 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
