Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon weekend
The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon weekend takes place on an October weekend in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event program includes these race options:
- Full Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 5K Run/Walk
- Own the Hoan Challenge (combine the 5K and one Sunday event)
Registration opens on January 1. The full and half marathons have a time limit of 6.5 hours. The 5K has a time limit of 90 minutes. The half and full marathon share the first 10 miles of the course. The Own the Hoan Challenge requires completing the 5K on Saturday and either the half or full marathon on Sunday; challenge finishers receive a bonus third medal and additional swag.
Course, amenities and partners
The course includes a crossing of the Hoan Bridge and runs along Lake Michigan for more than 40% of the route, passing lakefront parks and downtown skyline views. There is an indoor pre-race waiting area located just yards from the start line. The event lists the This Time Tomorrow Foundation as a fundraising partner; participants who raise at least $100 for TTTF receive a custom TTTF runners jersey and are placed on the TTTF Gold team.
