About the race
Millstadt Parks Biathlon & 5K is scheduled for September 13, 2026 in Millstadt, Illinois, at 301 North Jefferson Street. The event marks the 38th Annual Biathlon and the 5th Annual 5K.
The event offers two formats:
- 5 mile run and 22 mile ride combined as the biathlon
- 5K run
The biathlon course runs through farmland and rolling hills in the Millstadt area and can be entered individually or as part of a team. Post-race food and beer are available at the finish area, and attendance prize gift certificates to Big Shark Bicycle Company will be awarded. There will be free yoga in the park; participants are asked to bring a mat or blanket. All proceeds support the Millstadt Park Fund.
Packet pickup is available Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11 at Millstadt Village Hall, 111 W Laurel Street, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on the morning of the event at the park. Race day registration is available onsite. The course closes at 11:00 am; participants remaining on course after that time will be picked up by the trail vehicle.
Awards are presented for biathlon age groups, overall finishers, and biathlon teams, and for 5K age groups and overall finishers as specified by the organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
