Millstadt Parks Biathlon & 5K
The Millstadt Parks Biathlon & 5K is the 38th annual biathlon and the 5th annual 5K. The event takes place in Millstadt, Illinois at 301 North Jefferson Street on September 13, 2026.
The biathlon combines running and cycling distances:
- 5 mile run followed by a 22 mile bike ride
- 5K run
Entries are available for individuals or teams. Team categories include male, female, and coed.
Awards for the biathlon include five male and five female age group awards, overall awards to the top male and top female finishers, and team awards for male, female, and mixed teams. Biathlon age groups are 16-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and up. The 5K presents eight male and eight female age group awards and overall awards to the top male and top female finishers. 5K age groups are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and above.
On site features include post race beer and food at the finish, attendance prize gift certificates to Big Shark Bicycle Company, and free yoga in the park; participants may bring a mat or blanket. Proceeds support the Millstadt Park Fund.
Packet pickup is available early on Thursday September 10 and Friday September 11 at Millstadt Village Hall, 111 W Laurel Street, Millstadt IL, and on the morning of the event at the park. The course closes at 11am and participants remaining on course after that time will be picked up by the trail vehicle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
