About the race
The Bad Santa 5K is a timed 5K run held on December 20, 2026 in Carondelet Park on Holly Hills Boulevard in St. Louis, Missouri. The event starts and finishes near the park Boathouse and takes place on a course that passes lakes, woods, and railroad tracks, offering winter park scenery.
Following the run there is an afterparty at Urban Chestnut Bierhall in The Grove. Participants are eligible to receive one complimentary beer from Urban Chestnut, and Fordo's Killer Pizza is offering discounts on slices and pizzas during the post race gathering.
The event partners with the Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation and Warners' Warm-Up for a coat drive. New and gently used coats, hats, and gloves are collected on race day and Operation Food Search will handle distribution to local recipients.
All registrants receive a custom race shirt and a finisher item. Awards include gift cards from Running Niche and commemorative awards for the top three overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in these groups: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
