Bad Santa 5K : Carondelet Park, St. Louis : December 20, 2026
The Bad Santa 5K is a timed 5K run taking place in Carondelet Park with the start and finish near the Boathouse. The course passes lakes, woods, and railroad tracks and is routed through park trails and open areas.
Event amenities include a custom race shirt and a finisher item for registrants. A post race gathering is held at Urban Chestnut Bierhall in The Grove; participants are eligible to receive one free beer from Urban Chestnut and may find food discounts from Fordo's Killer Pizza during the after party.
The event partners with the Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation and Warners' Warm-Up Coat Drive. Organizers collect new and gently used winter coats, hats, and gloves on race day. Operation Food Search will handle distribution of donated items to those in need.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers; those overall awards include a gift card from Running Niche and a commemorative award. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in these groups: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
