Millside Fitness Bun Run 5K
The Millside Fitness Bun Run is a community 5K loop held in Dexter, Maine on 08/08/2026. The course combines hills, trails and road and meanders through woods and the streets of Dexter, with start and finish located in the downtown area. The start location is on Grove St. at the Newport/Dover-Foxcroft Rail Trail (45.025756, -69.290263). Packet pickup is in front of Millside Fitness at 26 Main Street.
Registration opens on March 31, 2026. The base registration fee is $35; the fee increases to $40 on June 9 and to $45 on July 10. There is no same-day registration for 2026. Runners registered by July 14 are guaranteed a t-shirt in their chosen size; later registrations receive shirts based on availability.
The event is professionally timed. New for this year are custom bibs. All finishers receive a medal. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers, and additional age-group awards are given. Strollers and leashed pets are permitted on the course.
All proceeds will support Heart of Maine Resource Center, a nonprofit that connects community members with resources such as food distribution, housing and heating assistance, educational opportunities, and other services.
