Milliken Earth Run - Event details
The Milliken Earth Run is an annual cross country race held on the campus of the Roger Milliken Research and Customer Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The main competition is a 5K run that uses a mostly grass cross country course within the Milliken Arboretum. The course has served as a site for NCAA, Jr. Olympics, and Jr. College championships and is the home venue for the Eye Opener High School and Collegiate Meet.
Milliken & Company promotes environmental stewardship in conjunction with the event. The race is part of the Greenville Track Club Corporate Shield and individual recognition is recorded in Corporate Shield age categories: Male, Female - Open, Masters (40 and over), Grand Masters (50 and over), and Senior Masters (60 and over).
Participant capacity is limited to 600. Registration is online only; event fees are non-refundable and not transferable. Dogs are not permitted in the race. The cross country surface makes the course difficult for strollers; strollers are allowed but riders should not be registered as race participants. Event shirts are available as an add-on for $10 each if purchased by 2/27. Volunteers receive a free race shirt. Packet pickup takes place race day in front of the Roger Milliken Center administration entrance between 7:30am and 8:45am. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
