Millerton Madness Triathlon
The Millerton Madness Triathlon is a USAT-sanctioned event held at Millerton Lake. The main event is a Super Sprint Triathlon consisting of a 400-yard swim, a 5.4-mile bike ride, and a 2.2-mile run. The swim starts in the water at the Millerton Lake Boat Launch. The bike course is an out-and-back route with rolling hills, heading north towards the park entrance. The run takes place on an asphalt road along a similar out-and-back path.
A standalone 5k run and a team Relay Madness event are also offered. The relay is designed for teams of two or three athletes.
Participants receive a post-race meal, a medal, a T-shirt, a silicone swim cap, and are eligible for age group awards. Packet pickup is available the Friday before the race at The Bike Shop in Fresno and on race morning at the Meadow Campground. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
