Millerton Lake Crows Nest Triathlon, 5k and 10k
The Millerton Lake Crows Nest event takes place on April 19, 2026, at the Millerton Lake Boat Ramp - Madera Side, Meadow Campground in Friant, CA. The program includes multiple triathlon distances, two run/walk distances, relay options, and virtual events.
Triathlon entries include a finisher's medal, prizes and giveaways, free race photos, and an event t-shirt included in the triathlon price. A USAT membership is required for multisport events but not for the 5k or 10k; multisport participants must present ID and a USAT membership card at packet pickup. Total participation is capped at 200. There is a $10 vehicle entrance fee.
Course notes provided by the organizer describe the Sprint as a common first lake swim with some steep hills on the bike and a trail run section. The Olympic distance has a longer swim plus two loops of the bike and run courses, with a trail section out and a paved section back and Millerton Lake as the backdrop.
Packet pickup is available at The Bike Shop at Woodward in Fresno on the Friday before the race and on race day at the Meadow Campground. Safety measures include kayaks, paddleboards and lifeguards in the water, CHP traffic control at the park entrance, and an on-site ambulance.
