Millerton Lake Crows Nest Triathlon, 5k & 10k
The event is scheduled for April 19, 2026 at the Meadow Campground along Millerton Lake in Friant, California. It includes a wide range of events: various triathlon distances, relay options, duathlons, aquabikes, aquathons, and standalone 5k and 10k runs.
Distances
Key triathlon distances are:
- Super Sprint: 400-yard swim, 5.4-mile bike, 2.2-mile run
- Sprint: 800-yard swim, 10.5-mile bike, 3.1-mile run
- Olympic: 1600-yard swim, 21-mile bike, 6.2-mile run
The Sprint Triathlon is described as a first lake swim event. The bike course features steep hills, and the run includes a trail section. For the Olympic distance, the swim is more challenging, and the bike and run courses consist of two loops each, with the run combining trail and paved road sections.
Participants in triathlon events receive a finisher's medal, event t-shirt, prizes, giveaways, and free race photos. A USAT membership is mandatory for all multisport events but not for the 5k or 10k runs; it can be acquired during registration. Total participation is limited to 200 athletes.
There is a $10 vehicle entrance fee. Safety provisions include multiple water safety craft, traffic control, and an on-site ambulance. Packet pickup is available at a bike shop in Fresno before the event and at the venue on race day. The event is organized by the non-profit Activitynut Foundation.
