Miller Mountain Trail Challenge : Tunkhannock, PA (May 9, 2026)

  • 5 Mile

The 25K course has about 4,700 feet of elevation gain and includes four separate ascents of Miller Mountain, each with over 1,000 feet of climbing. The 5 Mile course has about 2,000 feet of elevation gain. The routes begin with a short dirt-road section just under a half mile, include multiple steep climbs and steep, rocky, wet descents, and pass features such as a summit pond and views over the Susquehanna River and the town of Tunkhannock. The 25K includes four aid stations, with the first aid station located on private property at Bennie’s Nursery and Tree Farm.

Registration, packet pickup, awards, and charities

Registration opens December 9, 2025. Published entry fees:

  • 25K Run & Hike: $60 (Dec 9-25), $70 (Dec 26-Apr 5), $80 (Apr 6-May 6)
  • 5 Mile: $35 (Dec 9-25), $45 (Dec 26-Apr 5), $55 (Apr 6-May 6)

There are no refunds, deferrals, or bib swaps. Packet pickup is available the evening before the event at the race start/finish area and on race morning; registration will also be available in those periods. All participants receive a customized finisher gift, event swag, and a full post-race meal. Top male and female overall for both distances receive custom awards; there are no age-group awards. Net profit will benefit Countryside Conservancy and Wyoming County United Way; a race-day basket raffle will be held to raise additional donations. Venmo and PayPal donations will be accepted.
