Event Overview
The Military Matters VeteRUN eteRUN 5K Run/Walk is an annual event taking place in Kansas City, Missouri. The event location is The National WWI Museum and Memorial. The proceeds support the Military Matters program, which provides legal services to military service members and veterans. There are two event types:
- Military Matters VeteRUN 5K (5 km)
- Military Matters VeteRUN Kids Fun Run
Registration for the 5K event is listed at $41, and for the Kids Fun Run at $10. Registration ends on the day of the event. The course has been updated to have the same start and end point for timing accuracy. Participants should be aware that the route is described as typical sidewalk-width, which may affect those using strollers or wheelchairs.
Schedule and Amenities
Packet pick-up and race-day registration begin at 7:00 AM. The 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:00 AM, followed by the Kids Fun Run at 8:45 AM. An awards ceremony is scheduled for 9:00 AM on the North Lawn.
Awards will be presented to the top overall female and male finishers, the top overall female and male veteran finishers, and the top three males and females in standard age groups. Only service animals are permitted.

T-shirts are intended for participants who register by a specified date, but availability is not guaranteed. Participants are advised that the event may run out of shirts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
