Miles That Matter Run/Walk
The Miles That Matter event takes place in Warsaw, Indiana, featuring a scenic route that highlights local natural landmarks. Participants follow a course that offers views of Pike Lake and traverses the Beyer Farm Trail. This annual event celebrates America's 250th birthday with a Stars and Stripes theme, and all participants receive a commemorative medal upon crossing the finish line.
The event offers two main distances:
- 5K Stars & Stripes Run/Walk
- 10K Stars & Stripes Run
Both distances are professionally timed to ensure accurate results. The 5K course includes age group divisions in five-year increments, while the 10K course features nine-year age group divisions. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each category, as well as the overall male and female winners for both distances.
Water stations are positioned along the route to provide hydration. After completing the course, participants have access to refreshments at the finish line, including fruit and cookies. Registration completed by July 5 includes an event t-shirt; however, shirts are not guaranteed for those who register after this date. The course is situated at 1520 Provident Drive, providing a community-focused environment for both runners and walkers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
